The Reel Story

This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship: One fateful day, Emily was pushing her daughter Eleanor (then about 18 months) in a swing at the park, and struck up a conversation with a lovely-looking mom pushing a similarly-aged baby girl nearby. They mostly chatted about childrearing and things to do in St. Augustine (as the other mom was visiting on vacation from New England) but at the very end of the conversation, Emily mentioned that she was a graphic designer. The other mom then introduced Emily to her husband, who works in marketing at Blue Marble Brands, and the rest is history. Six months later, we were starting work on Natural Sea.


The Refresh

Natural Sea was in dire need of a brand refresh. The product itself is excellent: sustainably harvested, delicious and nutritious; but the packaging left consumers feeling like they were buying something from the last century.

Blue Marble

Working with the fantastic team of strategists, art directors, and marketers at Blue Marble, we successfully infused the Natural Sea brand with personality, passion, and freshness using contemporary typography, vivid watercolor illustrations, and lots of spunky messaging. The project included strategy, messaging, brand identity, iconography, web, packaging, promotional materials, social networking and art direction for photography and illustration.




What a Splash!

The updated design brought Natural Sea into the spotlight, and garnered interest from major world-wide retailers. This brand is already on the shelves and moving fast at Target, Whole Foods, and other natural foods retailers.
